    6.5x55 Swede users?

    It is the extractor/bolt face. The extractor won't fit over the rim of the case because the diameter of the Lapua brass is larger than the 30-'06 and 308 Win. based stuff. Some rifles are affected by this and some aren't. I use Lapua brass only and my rifle needed a Sako extractor installed.

    No, I didn't use anything. I did one mag where I flipped it over and pressed each feed lip against the work bench and gave the bottom several taps with the hammer. That worked too. The feed lips are stiff enough to bend evenly on each side.

    I used a small rubber mallet. Tap lightly and don't beat the shit out of it and you will fine. I didn't have any pliers that would fit between the feed lips but I suppose that would work too.

    This is what the magazine will look like before and after. Tweak the lips a bit so that the case doesn't slip backwards. I bought a PTG long action Stealth in a Rem 700. I did the bedding on a pre-inletted McMillan HTG.

    Good shooting. One of my match rifles is chambered in 6.5x55 Swede. The Swede has been around almost 115 years. It flat out shoots. I will do an '06 build before I die.

    338 Norma loads

    Yes. I run Retumbo at 90.5gn for 250 Berger OTMs. Puts me right at 2900 according to an Oehler chronograph. 90.5 is stable for me in the desert and I took an antelope in August when it was hot with no problems. I have gone as high as 92 but was getting into pressure. Good luck.
