    Would the hi tec polymer coating make a difference?. Many years ago took a large doe with an old school Hawkins 54 cal black powder muzel loader. Quartering away 100 yrd shot. Absolutely devastatingly spectacular performance. Big hole going in and bigger hole coming out.

    Have been using the white poster board from wally world, the kind with the half inch grid lines. Use the stick on dots. Works really good for seeing hits out to 200 yrds.

    Let's beat it some more and make sure it's dead. Any thing new need to know about other than wet tumbling? Use horrible freight ground walnut and car polish. Use a rolled up screen and pour through with a fan blowing across it, helps get rid of dust.

    Needing some .308 subsonic hand load advice

    Have loaded 308 subs. Just not those bullets. Trail boss is your friend if you can get it. Remember to start higher charge weight and work down, this is where a chronograph is needed. Shoot it unsurpassed first to make sure bullets are stabilizing. Hodgdon had sub load data, not sure if still do.
