    Black Hills 300WM Ammo

well after I read your reply I went and chambered all 60 rounds and surprisingly about half of them were noticeably easier to chamber & extract.

    Black Hills 300WM Ammo

I have used this ammo before and had no problem but my uncle gave me a few boxes for xmas, and I planned on shooting some today. but when I chambered a round it felt pretty tight. when I go to extract a live round the bolt handle opens smooth until you get to the last 10-15% of the throw and it...

    .300 Win Mag

I'll vote savage, 300WM is a barrel burner and you will thank yourself later when it comes time to put another barrel on. I'm not sure how good the gunsmiths are down under, but the Savage you swap barrels out yourself easily if you mechanically inclined at all. with AR30 you will have to find a...

    Robar's Bolt Action rifles?

Looks just like the TAC21 by MDT. his description even mirrors MDT's for the most part.

Gunsmithing 338 La "BoOm BoOm" (WHOLLY CHIT!)

Trigger like the others I'm glad your ok. at least you know what caused the problem. I remember a member on here that kaboom his savage 338 and kept insisting it wasn't his fault, even though he was shooting unknown reloads.

Who's the dirty BASTARD that turned my scope down over 4MOA last time I shot?

My brother has a couple buddies he brought to the range with us a few weeks back, there rifles are all fixed up with chicom shit. I go down range to set up targets and when I come back one of them is is fucking with my windage turret moving it back and forth declaring "man the clicks are so...

What ammo. should I be running in my Savage 110-ba .300 win. mag?

this! I have a Mauser 98 with a heavy barrel in 300 win mag and I get 3/4-1'' groups with Remington core-lokt 180g. I have the ability to reload but I can never find components to do so.

    Picking a scope base

I have both, they may look similar but they are not. my harris is built better, it's heavier in my hand, legs are notched, it swivels to adjust cant. the blackhawk now stays on my 22LR.

Any issues with Professionally applied Cerakote in bolt guns?

it will ware in and you will get some cerakote colored gun oil residue after the first couple trips it should stop. it will not affect the gun, I coat my bolts and it has never changed my headspace even after it has worn from the lugs.

    Mosin project. Final.

I hear you, I was told the same thing and had to learn the hard way. Don't get me wrong if you do get one of those barrels to work with you specific receiver they can be very good shooter, especially for being a chrome lined barrel.

    Mosin project. Final.

Those barrels are far from ready to install (ask me how I know) they are chrome lined so you need a carbide reamer to work on them. TGI should have never cut the extractor groove because they only index properly on 10-20% of mosin receivers. you would be better off buying a match barrel blank...

.300 Win Mags - Where are they?

that's probably the only downside, from what I have been reading barrel life is in the 1000-1500 round area depending on several variables.

    My 300wm 98k

Thanks, I would have never done what the previous owner did (rebarrel/sporterized), but since what was done is done I thought I would give it a better home so I bought it. I got a set of headspace gauges and made sure everything was good with that. I also inspected the chamber and rifling with a...
