    Thanks for the reply. This is an entry level action after all, and this is my intro to precision rifle with a .308 platform. The GRS may make the most sense for me. If things get serious, I’ll ante up for an AI or Sako.

    viking78: How smooth is the Tikka action with AICS mags and can you use Magpul mags with the rifle? I have a certain competitors stock/chassis that uses AICS mags, and 10 round mags are hard to load. I”m thinking about dumping the stock for a GRS that uses the Tikka mags. Thanks

    I agree with all of your points, but I’ve heard of issues with even Surefires at times. The Brits probably don’t care if their troops get too much gas in their face, let alone care much about victims rights or when their own kids are being used as sex slaves in their neighborhoods.

    That’s what guys on M4carbine.net always said. Not sure if LMT changed their gas port sizes for the commercial market or not. They won’t tell me anything on the phone or in person (recent NRA convention).

    SR30 v SR15

    It’s a good piece of kit as is a Daniel Defense. 5.56 11.5” uppers vs 9.5” 300 blkouts are like comparing apples and oranges though. They are different animals for different purposes. 5.56 NATO is flatter shooting whereas 100 yards in or CQB 300 blkout is nice especially suppressed

    I played with one at this year’s NRA convention in Indy. Eye box was smaller than the Nightforce and I saw distortion at 1x. Bright reticule though. For my money, check out the Nightforce. I would like to look at the Minox as well

    Rifle Scopes SCAR 20S QD Mounts?

    I have a SCAR 17S with a Kahles 1-6x scope in an ADM delta mount. After 2000 rounds shot mostly suppressed, I have zero issues with the scope or the mount. For the SCAR, I see no issues with my Delta mount made by ADM, and I think you will be well served by one.

    I played with one at the NRA convention. For the money, I wasn’t that impressed compared to the ATACR or new VCOG. I felt those scopes produced a better image and were easier to get behind (eye box larger). The dual dot/reticle system is killer though. Let us know how it works while shooting.
