    $1500 to work with what would you choose?

    I just put together a heavy barrel Howa 1500 with a Bell and Carlson stock, Vortex Viper HS-T scope, Talley 20 moa rail and TPS rings for less than $1500, and so far I am very happy with it. If you want to PM me I will tell you where you can get a good deal on a Howa barreled action.

    Question about Lee's .308 die

    I had the exact samething happen with a Lee 270 win fl die. My problem was a combination of the expander being rough and adjusted too high. I chucked the decapper in a drill and used scotch brite to pollish it up, and once I got the depth set correctly it worked like a charm.

    That makes it sound like the bedding block might be off a bit. If you do bed it as is you might have to enlarge the action screw holes in the stock so they free float and take an recoil.

    Rifle Scopes Question for Vortex Viper PST Owners

    I just got the 4-16x44 HST and it is supposed to have the same glass as the PST models and the clarity and brightness is the same from 4x all the way through 16x. I know they are a little different models, but maybe if there was a problem they got it resolved.
