Rifle Scopes Revic Optics Launches new Website

I'm relatively new to the game....I tried googling it but came up with nothing....who is Andy Schaefer? I know Chris Thomas is from Premiere.... I'm always interested to see how the best minds navigate their fields.....this strikes me as a sort of dream team project, just looking to confirm or...

Rifle Scopes SPR Scope NOW PLEASE!!!

To add a slight twist on what the German had to offer.... As a suggestion I didn't like, you likely won't like, and I'm likely to wind up not liking again....I used to run my 18" ar10 w/ a fixed 10x and a T1 on a 45. Heavy a.f. But anything from point blank to 800 yards was an effortless...

Rifle Scopes Validate a trick a optics engineer showed me.

Agreed on many counts..... Hence the term "poor man's white balance," as a way to compare and contrast anything we have in front of us. I didn't say anything about true white....only that it was a quick and dirty way to determine preference in a Pepsi challenge scenario. I care very little...

Rifle Scopes SPR Scope NOW PLEASE!!!

Qft. For optics it's glass, weight and affordability. Ops in a tough spot, I'm trying to do the same thing ATM and my search has been as frustrating. I hunt on foot year round and I'm not looking forward to it but I'm certain my concession will be weight. C'est la vie.....at least the...

Rifle Scopes Validate a trick a optics engineer showed me.

Honestly, and I mean no disrespect, I love how we just share unqualified opinions these days. I mean we got people that don't no dick about what's being discussed just pipin up because they have an internet connection..... and I hear ya. What were we gonna do if you'd just thought "I don't know...

Shot in the dark before I start hitting up random machine shops in order of proximity to me......I'd like someone to build a covert forend that would allow an amtac cqb to slip inside. Needs 1.62" clearance......any one point me in the direction of the man or outfit who can make this happen...

    Desert Tech MDR

Yeah...there's probably not many of us who havent tweaked a gas system or 2....but those of us who have, have also learned a hard lesson about tweaking triggers (protip: put down the Dremel !!! That's not how that works!!!).....Let alone bullpup triggers....

Though with each successive report I've become less interested, I am still interested. But gut tells me that DT might have bitten off more than they could chew with this one.....

    Gunsmithing SRSA1 Covert Custom Forend

I'm looking for someone to fab a custom forend that will allow me to run an Amtac over the barrel suppressor on a 16" barrel tucked. The factory forend has just under 1.5" interior diameter, I need a forend that has at least 1.64" clearance for the suppressor to seat. Can anyone recommend a...

Suppressors SilencerCo ASR - teeth not aligning?

I do the same thing. Hand tighten it pretty good, lock it, then give it another monkey crank. Sometimes I get another "click" and we're rock solid. Sometimes it just locks up.... Hope this is the work around, because I just went through a full replacement of all my MAAD kit....

Rookie shooter needs advice on purchase

Well, as an update I'm much more prepared to take the plunge now, unfortunately, though I tried several times the fella who sold the rifle didn't check his ad and sold the barrelled action to someone else on armslist. But thank you all for the input anyway....the hunt continues.

Rookie shooter needs advice on purchase

Very true, I was assuming that he'd sold rifles in the past and had probably advertised accuracy....but you're right.....feedback doesn't give much to go on. That's a big assumption. haha so do or do not inquire about the bore guide? :D I hear ya man....i do have a tendency to over analyze...

Rookie shooter needs advice on purchase

Thanks for the extra considerations, I think I'll assume an additional 1k in the event there is a problem (I like to err on the conservative side). I went ahead and started a spreadsheet and looked up the individual prices of the components and though it's a bit outside my budget I think I'm...

Rookie shooter needs advice on purchase

Victory, thanks for the replies man. Much appreciated. I think these are my final concerns....assuming worst case scenario (barrel/chamber thrashed) and gun wont group (assuming also it's not mount/optic related) and I have to have it re barreled right out of the gate.....how much more will I...
