    Since you will use it on a 17 or 22 mag you should get one that is steel or titanium and or also full auto rated - stronger cans. I have a Tactical Innovations Quest that is stainless and full auto rated and is quiet.

    The world of .308 ARs - hesitant to jump in...

    Have an Armalite A-10 in 308 and 260 Remington. Both have run flawlessly. Only downside is they use their own propriterity (sp?) magazines that are a little pricey.
