    6.5X284

F-Class (at least under ICFRA as per F2.11) does not allow feeding rounds from a magazine. Don't know about your local rules though, maybe they allow it. No use machine gunning as you have to wait for the target to pop up and down anyway, so plenty of time to load with even a single shot rifle...

    6.5X284

Old thread, but still.. We were running the 6.5-284 at 3050-3100fps using 139 scenars and N165. No pressure signs. Barrel goes out at 1500-2000 rounds, but we shoot 2 man details, no strings. Now running the 7mm-270WSM with 180's at 3050-3075 also with N165. 1000-1250 rounds average, sometimes...

    Caliber choices for Competitions...

    Not to nitpick, but Open is limited to 8mm / .32, not .35 ;) A .338LM is a no-go.

New Integral Rail Action From Stiller PICS

It has the same angles as the ax stock, compliments it. The round actions seems out of place in the AX somehow, as if slapped on in an afterthought. The octagon just merges with the rest. I was hooked straight away and have one on order.

    Practical Rifle project

As with many things... plans change... I fell in love with the new 2014 model AICS AX. From the topics I found on the existing AICS AX I found some pics with the Stiller Spectre action on it and was hooked. The BAT would require extensive milling in any of the modular chassis, yet the Spectre...

    2014 AICS AX right folding?

If I snap my barrel into the action by hand, I can change it in the field with no tools and even faster :) Looks like the copied it from the Steyr system, which was also copied by unique-alpine; maybe an even faster system.

Caliber Choices - Comparison and Applications

Not really. You need a bit more powder to get the same speed. As no two barrels last the same number of rounds, no one has ever really proven moly does anything to lengthen barrel life. It allows for longer strings between cleaning, but is a pita to clean afterwards. If you don't clean it in a...

    Practical Rifle project

The XLR route is out; too busy for custom work at the moment. Now looking to see if the new AICS AX can be milled to take the extended octagon action. If so then that will be the route I take, otherwise I will most likely opt for a different action.

Forming SniepTac cases without bullet, suggestions?

OK, a little late perhaps... but I formed my cases using 20gr Ba10 (only scrap powder I had around). Fill it up with Cream of Wheat, top off with wax and shoot. Works great, cases form perfectly, first real firing will sharpen up the shoulders. Thanks for the tip.

    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist

JGorski: I'm shooing a 31" 6x47 Lapua using H4350; getting 3150fps with the 105 Hybrids, around 3050-3100 for the DTACs.

    2014 AICS AX right folding?

OuttaAmmo: We were not allowed folder here until recently. Work around was to just permanenty pin the folder so it could not be used as a folder.

    2014 AICS AX right folding?

I was indeed referring to the AICS AX, as per topic title and first message. Reason I ask is that the lists I have mention it to be a left folder. Don't know if that is a typo left over for the first AICS AX chassis. So if I understand from LowLight, the AICS version will also take the Badger...
