    Re: Counterboring inside the muzzle of a barrel. If you absolutely have to go that route you'd be better off with a small boring bar. Through in the bore first then go in with your boring bar. You could finish off the crown then with a 60 degree centre drill running at about 40rpm.

    Re: Help with caliber swap It is possible alright but check also what twist is in the .223 and see if its compatable for the swift. You could get the bolt opened up and a Sako extractor put in.

    Re: Sako Extractor Issues? Check to see if your counterbore dimension is interfering with anything. If its a little too tight it may be stopping the extractor from opening out and clipping over the rim.

    Re: Couple of questions about bedding a scope rail Quite possibly the screws you've got are flat bottom screws and dont really aid the alignment of your base, as soon as on comes loose your in trouble straight away. Take a look at that and if thats whats wrong get some angle based screws...
