Rifle Scopes Need Help Ranging With Scope! Please Help!

The primary factors are (to me): 1: Have the most accurate target size you can 2: Be able to accurately read your reticle to ensure the most precise measurement you can get. 3: KNOW the math 4: Practice!!! The more time you spend behind the reticle the better. That being said, feel...

    Rite in Rain Notebook

They cost a little more, but are well worth it the first time you get wet. Additionally, the paper is a little more "heavy duty" and withstands overall abuse pretty well.

They're excellent rifles. I threw a scope on my buddies 16" and got repeated dime to nickle sized groups at 100 (BH 175's). And that was without being cleaned in over 3000rds. Then I bought a 20" for myself and couldn't get the damn thing to drop below and inch for anything. Customer service...

    Fieldcraft Need info on tents

I'm really glad I started this thread now. I've never heard of a lot of these companies! Looks like I've got a good bit of reading ahead of me. 45.308--- The bright colors only bother me on the outside. It could be a tie-dyed hippie fest on the inside so long as the outside blends into...

Mine's a RBS. No issues thus far. That being said, I'm not sure exactly how heavy the rifle is.

    Rifle Scopes Tracking Point?

JaysonF, There's a bunch of topics on this system already. Most points have been covered. As for the wind, there is a 3-pos rocker switch on the top that the user enters the wind value with. I played with it at Shot....neat, but not worth the price. I do feel that it is an interesting look...

Rifle Scopes Scope Mounting (SPUHR) advice needed! (S&B 3-20x50)

FWIW, I always center the optic in the mount and then place the mount for optimal eye relief. If it needs minor tweaking that the pic rail is too coarse for (rare), I'll move the scope in the mount. db

Thanks for the reply 45. Understood on the colors. There's just something about the neon tents that bothers me to no end. Anyone ever tried dying a tent?

    Fieldcraft Need info on tents

All, I'm looking at picking up a new tent. My current packing tent is a Eureka Solitare. It's been a good tent, but I need more room and a lot less "bling". Can anyone recommend a good 2-person tent with more subdued colors? I don't need uber-mall ninja-camo of the week, but...

    Which 3-in-1 case trimmer?

I've been eyeballing the Giraud for a while now, but just can't justify the cost currently. Does anyone know if the Forster head fits any other brand trimmers?

    Which 3-in-1 case trimmer?

All, I'm in need of a case trimmer. I like the idea of the combined cutters for a couple reasons, foremost being consistency. But I'm having trouble deciding on which one to get! Hence, I now turn to the Collective. Who makes the best one and do any fit other manufactures trimmers...

Earl, If only this had a wind reader...

It does have a wind meter. I'd be a bit suspect of it's accuracy...but still. Overall I think this looks like a neat piece of kit. It's basically a ruggedized tablet that runs Android. That means the Kestrel *should* be able to sync to it. Since it has access to the android market, Shooter...

    A Special Project

With today's tech, the scout concept isn't really needed anymore. An accurate, light rifle with a 3-12 or 1-8 or hell, 3-21 optic will still have plenty FOV at low power for rapid engagement and still help you at distance. Finding a modern rifle that takes stripper clips (the whole reason for...
