    Continuous scope ring slippage

That is my go to ring set. I've paid much more for other rings but don't see the point. All a set of rings has to do is hold the scope without moving and not damage it.

    Savage 110 - 6.5 Creedmore

Do you need a brake or threading for a suppressor? If not the Savage 12FV from Cabelas/Bass Pro can be had for about $400. The stock is absolute junk but you can drop it in a KRG Bravo for $400. Grab an AICS metal magazine for $70 (I like Accurat Mag), a Savage tactical bolt knob for $30, and a...

    Savage 110 Ultralite Elite

I’ll give you my opinion as a “Savage” guy. I’m in Canada so the availability of some custom actions is limited. When the CDG was introduced in the USA for $899 it was selling for $1499 Canadian. It is now selling for $1199 in the USA and $1798.50 in Canadia. It is hardly a “budget” action at...

    6.5 Creedmoor

They are all safe queens for now. Trudeau knows his days are numbered so he is trying to accelerate the "Buyback". They are all registered so they know where they are but I won't give mine up. Hopefully a conservative government will reverse the legislation. Even though the AR-15 is prohibited...

    6.5 Creedmoor

I may send one in to get done over the winter. Both the 6.5 Creedmoors are bolt guns as is the 6BR. One is built on an Ultimatum Precision Gen 2 Deadline action and the other is a Savage 12FV. Both the Ultimatum and the Savage popped primers and the bolt on the Ultimatum has tight clearances...

    Accuracy International Arctic Warfare

A guy who shoots the same matches that I do has one. He’s not willing to part with it. I tried already.

    6.5 Creedmoor

I have a lot of CCI 400's and I'm at less than 2K in BR-4's right now. I tried switching to the 400's in my 6.5 Creedmoor and 6BR and pierced primers in both with loads that I wouldn't consider hot. I may try starting from scratch with the 400's to see if I have better luck. Using the same...

    6.5 Creedmoor

It's the opposite for me. Last year or the year before I bought 3 jugs of H4350 on the same day with the same lot number. I've been consistently getting around 2758fps using 139gr Lapua Scenars and 140gr Hornady ELD-M with 41.2gr in Lapua brass with BR-4's On Sunday I cracked opn the new jug and...

Rifle Scopes What is your favorite rifle scope?

I'm torn on this one. I love my Tangent Theta TT525P but I prefer the parallax knob on the Schmidt & Bender PMii 5-25. I also love the MTC on the S&B. You don't have to lift your head off the scope to dial. I'd buy either scope again in a heartbeat.

    Primer blowout

I have about 4,000 CCI 400’s And I’m down to my last 2,000 BR-4’s I tried using the 400’s in my 6.5 Creedmoor low node load that is 2650fps and my 6BR with Hornady 75gr V-Max at 3,200 and both popped primers where where the BR-4’s never did. I never popped a primer with CCI 400’s in 5.56

    good bi-pod ?

You hit the nail in the head with the Atlas. It doesn’t lock out completely. This is why mine now sits on my 338 Lapua. It gets shot maybe 6-7 times a year. My Accu-tacs and my Harris get shot every week.

    good bi-pod ?

I have one on a 300 RUM. It’s been on it for about 10 years now. I’m pushing a 200gr Accubond just a hair under 3000fps.

    good bi-pod ?

Harris S-BRM with a pod lock lever is the bare minimum for me. It will last you a lifetime and it’s only $120.00 or so. Black Friday is coming maybe you can find a deal. Notched legs for no slippage, adjustable cant that can be locked out. I use them wherever I don’t want to spend the money to...

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

I think that it took a while for people to get the courage to spend top dollar with a company that you’re not sure will be around tomorrow. I know it took me a while and I’m Canadian. As for why some people go for the Vortex over the Nightforce. Last year my shooting partner purchased a Gen 3...

How much and how long does it take for a gun smith to chamber a custom barrel for an action?

It's a contractor that I do business with on a regular basis. I'm a mechanical contractor.

How much and how long does it take for a gun smith to chamber a custom barrel for an action?

I'd love to order a couple of barrels if the wait was only 2 months but I'm having my roof redone in 2 weeks. 23K is the starting price plus any surprises they find. I have a feeling that there will be a couple of surprises.

How much and how long does it take for a gun smith to chamber a custom barrel for an action?

I don’t know if you know something I don’t but IBI on their page states 16-18 weeks for a barrel nut style barrel.

    Hornady Comparator Readings

Remove ejector from bolt. Take 3 fired cases that you don't mind scraping. Place red loctite inside neck of case and place the bullet loaded long in the case. Place case in chamber and close action. Wait 30 secnds and open action. Repeat 3 times.
