    On Liberty

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for...

Do you think they will go house to house in Connecticut?

Graham, America is a Constitutional Republic. The oath we took was to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic. The Constitution is the bedrock upon which our freedoms stand. It's not about what politicians say the...

Peace Officers respond to open carry

As far as news people go, I think Bill Ruppert is pretty main stream with all of the credentials. I don't keep up with that much so I don't know. I saw this on his page just after going through this thread, so I came back since it seems relevant and on topic. Heart breaking for any American...

Al Gore is to Vikings as Richard Simmons is to special operations pipe hitters

    Crazy video

My dad was a New York State Trooper. With a capital T, he was a real "serve and protect " type of cop. I was, BY GOD , brought up to respect a peace officer. 90 % of Americans have no respect for politicians, Congress' approval rating is at n all time low. King Georges approval rating right...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns A sniper's "best" side-arm/weapon.

I'm surprised no one has said a radio and naval gunfire. The USS New Jersey and USS Wisconsin were the best support any ground pounder could ask for.

    Best shooting truck for me??

I have a 1990 Dodge Ram Charger that has been great for hunting and fishing. It has a V8 and in 4 wheel drive low it will climb a tree. The SUV type enclosed bed keeps all my gear dry and secure. It has been very reliable mechanically and I think they look good too, especially with some nice...

Movie Theater Just got done watching Lone Surviver...

I read the book a year or so ago and went with my son and daughter to the movie last night. I enjoyed it and so did my kids. The audience applauded at the end. When the lights came on at the end it was obvious it was emotionally moving for many of the people there. Moving in a support our...

    Maggie’s Memories of Carlos Hathcock

I never met White Feather himself but I was in the same squadron out of New River MCAS as his son for 3 years around 1990, . The Carlos Hathcock I served with was an outstanding Marine also. We deployed on LF6F Med floats together and went to the rifle range together,,, and Desert Storm now...

    RIP Mikhail Kalashnikov

The gun shop in town has Saiga 7.62 x 39 mm "Sporters" for $500. My area is heavily wooded and hilly. We don't get many long shots around these parts. The Saiga is a cheap way to shoot and accurate enough when can't see through the woods farther than 200 yards.
