Range Report Hornady 308 WIN 110gr TAP

Re: Hornady 308 WIN 110gr TAP I've had similar results with the 110 V-max on prairie dogs in terms of hang time and wouldn't hesitate to use them on deer. The last two deer I've taken were with the 120 gr V-max out of a 7 mag and had no exit wounds in either, both dropped within 15 feet.

Suppressors Looking for a Rimfire Pistol for IDPA type comp

Re: Looking for a Rimfire Pistol for IDPA type comp I've got a CZ SP01 with the Kadet conversion and would definitely recommend it. The mags drop free and are obviously a bit bigger a normal single stack 22 mag making reloads a little faster imo. The buckmarks are easier to tear down and...

Rifle Scopes Older Nightforce BR scopes?

Re: Older Nightforce BR scopes? I've got both the NXS and the scope you're talking about (The Varminter). It is, to the best of my knowledge, the same as the current BR scopes. I think Russ's question is most important to answer first. Depending on what you plan on using the scope for the...

Range Report Distance of a ricochet ????

Re: Distance of a ricochet ???? Bullets do some weird things. I've personally seen 22 bullets fired at steel come directly back at the shooter on at least two occasions.

Rifle Scopes 6-24x for varmint hunting

Re: 6-24x for varmint hunting I've used a few of them on varmint rifles in 223, 22-250, 220 swift and 243 mainly for prairie dogs. They worked very well for me. I dont think the difference between 4 and 6x minimum magnification will make a big difference.

If you won Powerball, what custom rifle?

Re: If you won Powerball, what custom rifle? My list is at least a page and a half long and growing. Why would you limit yourself to a single rifle? Might as well add a few containers of ammo and a few thousand acres to shoot on.

    308 remington brass

Re: 308 remington brass It depends on what you want to do with it. Can you reload and fire it? For sure. Are you going to win 1000 yard bench-rest matches with it? Probably not.

    Whale Wars looses a boat

Re: Whale Wars looses a boat AFAIK they're allowed to kill so many whales per year for "scientific research" with the stipulation that none of the meat go to waste. The whalers just say that they're checking stomach contents of the killed whales. While I don't necessarily agree with what...
