    You must trim first, because the neck turning tool indexes off the case mouth. If cases aren't all the same length, you'll find your turning operation won't end consistently in the same place each time.

    Primer doesn't look flattened too much, and the firing pin dimple isn't cratered...looks just like a primer from Federal GMM normally does, having been fired from a Rem700. Doesn't look like a particularly "high pressure" event took place to me.

    After viewing the case head pics, this is my guess. Looks like there was no support just ahead of the case web, and the case blew outward into "space" where there should have been a barrel. Good news, is that if this is indeed the problem, it'll be easy to measure/prove.

    I've got 5; four 5-25s and one 3-15. My shooting partner has a 5-25. 3 are mounted in Seekins @ 20in-lb 2 are mounted in badger @ 20in-lb 1 is mounted in Farrell @ ?? (Probably too many in-lb) None bind.

    My testing of the whidden was only with 142smks from a 260 at ~2800fps. The die was adjusted down until it bulged the ogive, then backed off until it didn't - so we're talking "maximum tipping" 10 shots of each tipped/untipped were run by a magnetospeed, average velocity for tipped was 2803...

    Get a collet style bullet puller, makes it easy. You should never fire known-bad ammo "just to get rid of it".

    Why don't you quantify this for us? What is the stretch created by a 1-1/16 x 16 thread torqued to 100lbft, assuming zero friction (max stretch scenario).

    If your 280AI is a heavy(ish) gun, why not just make a lightweight mountain rifle also in 280AI? 6.5-284 is great and all, but it's not going to do anything 280AI won't - cept maybe create a little less recoil.

    As a through and through Glock lover, I can say: Who cares? The pocket 380 craze has been over for a couple years now - because most people realized they could still pocket-carry a nice little 9mm. Plus, this 380 isn't even "small" by 380 standards! Good job missing the boat...
