To Our Brothers & Sisters In The Philippines

Over the years here on the Hide, we have come to know several fellow Rim Fire user's who live in the Philippines. I just want to say how sick we feel about what has happened there, and all of you are in our hearts and prayers, as we hope for a quick recovery from such an awful disaster. You...

Taking a 65 yr old rimfire to 200 yds

Nice shooting 0933! Those rifles were made to shoot and also would be good for 200 yards with the peep sight on a NRA 200 yard rimfire target. Nice shooting for sure! I like your rifle and what you did with it.

Please explain .22 hoarding to me????

There are a lot more couch potatoes shooting today then there was not to many years ago, thanks in most part to our own government and their actions, as well as program's like the Appleseed Project making folks aware of their 2nd Amendment rights, something our government has been trying to...

Russ, I was given to understand that many preferred the Tacticool stock from Boyds? Have read many a good reviews about them, here on the Hide. Is the Rhineland really that much more superior?

    Accuracy of bolt vs. semi-autos

Would one also want to consider potential matches down the road where "single shot" loading would be required?

    Precision Rimfire Matches

To bad we don't have a board (maybe we do) where we could list our up coming club shoots by State and location.

To the tick turds that keep hoarding the .22 lr stores, I will be laughing hard

Just about every day & night of the week there are television shows about those who prep for the end of time, survival shows, gun related shooting news, terrorist attacks, our economy down fall,,, you name it - if it's bad news it's on the tube. Hell, there's groups of people out there that...

Why Would Anyone Want to Shoot a Vintage Sniper Rifle?

The rifle that started it all had no scope. The iron sight flintlock rifle, but it was high tech in its day.

    22 ammo?

I checked out Midway USA today and for the first time in a long time I see they are allowing "back-order" on some of their ammo. Haven't seen this for a'while.

Glass suggestions for savage mark II BTV

I've been using the Tasco Target / Varmint 6-24x42 Mil Dot w/AO for years and they've held up just fine. Not saying I wouldn't upgrade if the price was right!

What .22 LR Ammo is Showing Up These Days???

Sad part is that when the stupid idiots doing the hoarding go bankrupt, the rest of us tax payers will have to pick up the tab.

advice on 22 lr bolt guns please

I like the Savage line. For me the Savage MKII FVT, MKII BTV, & MKII offer what I'm looking for at affordable prices, and they are accurate. Like all .22lr rimfire rifles, you have to find the ammo each one likes and performs the best with. Easier said then done in these times of rimfire ammo...

What is the Most Historically Significant Sniper Rifle?

I would give the Pennsylvania Long Rifle my vote, as it was used to target British Officers, then NCO's. So in this light it was the most important "sniping" rifle of our history, even if those Riflemen using their Pennsylvania Rifle did not consider themselves "snipers" as we view a Sniper...
