2013 Steel City Precision Rifle Challenge - Birmingham, AL

Match directors: Great job orchestrating and administering this match. It was well thought out, well executed, maximized the potential of the facility, tested shooters' marksmanship, and was a lot of fun. Range officers: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Without your selfless efforts, these...

Is it still possible to order a m2013 actions

Mark @ SAC is an excellent choice for any build, but he's really got Badger actions down pat. There are a bunch of nuances to them, and Mark's got it figured out. Don't know if he keeps them in stock, but it'd be worth a call. Either way, the m2013 isn't a limited production action, so you'll...

Is it still possible to order a m2013 actions

My SAC built 6mm SLR, done on an M2013 printed a 1.5" 5-shot group the other day... ...at 600 yards... Feels great, shoots great.

Sidearms & Scatterguns ND vs AD vs Something else?

How about this scenario; is it an AD, ND or what: You are shooting at targets quickly, under time pressure, and squeeze off an unintentional double tap? Gun is aimed at something you intend to, and have been shooting at, but you squeezed an extra round your brain didn't specifically intend to....?

ND You were negligent in verifying the chamber was clear.

Best Lapua brass to turn into 6.5 Creedmoor?

If I were going to create 6.5cm brass from a Lapua parent case, I would use the 308 Palma with the small primer.

Gunsmithing Does rechambering/setting back a barrel give it full life again?

Listen to this man. I never would have believed it until I saw it myself in the borescope, but the firecracking goes a LONG way down the tube. I had always kind of assumed the throat would be worst, and things would improve pretty quickly from there. Well, in fact, the throat IS in the worst...

Gunsmithing What 7mm cal to chamber a new barrel

Any 7mm cartridge that uses45gr or more of powder will easily be excellent to 1000 yards. That said, you better have something really specific and hardcore in mind if you think you need more horsepower than a 7rem mag.

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Dude, the scope mount is working as designed. It allows you zero @ 100 yards while not placing the erector at the very bottom of its travel, while also providing tons of upwards adjustment.

Need advice for new/used economy car. *Update

Spoken for truth. Look on autotrader or craigslist at the mid 1990s through mid 2000 Subarus. Note how many you see with 200k+ miles. A LOT. Then consider buying a nice clean one with ~100k miles on it. The ONLY think you have to be concerned with on a Subaru is the 1996-2003ish 2.5L...

New TRG-22 and First Day Range Report

Nice writeup, sounds like you're having a lot of fun. Your bolt handle should not be contacting the chassis like that. It really ougghta be fixed, either by a little cautious dremeling, or better, by KRG. Your mounting arrangement is as it should be. Did you expect to get your scope...

    .284 Win Ammo

What do you mean? Are you asking if you can fire 6.5-284 ammunition through a rifle chambered in 284? The answer is yes and no. Yes, you can fire them. The 6.5-284 ammo will chamber. No, it won't work well. The 6.5-284 fires a 6.5mm (.264") diameter bullet, while the 284 fires a 7mm (.284")...

    Carfax report favor?

2005 Saab 9-2x aero A rebadged WRX wagon with slightly nicer interior. The seller did provide a Carfax report, which is clean... ...but my fiancee, whom I was supposed to pick up at 4 yesterday so we could make it up to see the car in the daylight, bailed on me (impromptu work meeting)...

    Best Chronograph for the $

I've now had my Magnetospeed V2 on a minimum of 6 "target/tactical" type rifles (with heavyish barrels) and observed zero detectable POI shift - at 100 yards or 600 yards. I don't doubt some people have, but I've tested quite a bit and simply not seen it.

    22 Creedmoor

I'm stirring the pot no more than you are; jumping into the thread as if the GAP propaganda minister. My questions and comments have been 100% objective. Speaking of objectivity, Hornady does not require a 500,000 piece order - at least according to what George told me about having special...

Gotcha. Less powder, less pressure, more velocity, longer lived barrel.
