    I'd be really careful with an adjustable wrench; they tend to have a lil "give" to them. If that nut is on there really tight and you have start using some force it will be really easy to slip and round the nut. Not to mention what you'll do to your knuckles

    Rab, it should be as simple as getting the right sized wrench and twisting it off. A padded vises would definitely be handy. Those rifles come with thread protectors right? You not going to want to run without​ anything protecting those threads

    Im still waiting for one of these geniuses to suggest using a 45-70 again. The problem is these people want a one size fits all round that fits in an AR15... and they don't want to spend a lot doing it. I have a hard time seeing anything happen til after ww3 hits.

    I couldnt agree more. I'm pretty sure the majority of AR owners I know all run cheap to decent rifles that are mostly mil spec, over gassed as hell and shoot around 1.5 moa; and everyone of them is happier than a pig in slop with that because it does everything they need it too

    He's lucky someone with a CCW didn't hesitate. I could not even begin to imagine myself going out and doing the armed robbery thing knowing full well someone with a CCW could ambush me and that would be it. If only it didn't end that way more often
