    SWFA fixed 6 or 10. Great, robust scopes. An older Weaver Tactical 3-10, which were sold by Midway. 1" tube, Mildot, lightweight and very dependable/repeatable. If you can find one, they are a great option.

    Yep, I had one of those EH1s. The tang was indeed built up. Manners required the stock to the painted, not an exposed fiber finish.

    I'd have Ross Scheuler make a break for you. They're inexpensive ($36 last time I looked), and he'll turn it down to your muzzle diameter. The side ports are better IMHO than a radial brake.
