    HoOdRaT 3.0..... Blown 421 LSX.

Regarding the belt/idler setup, I've never seen anyone run one that way. They are always baby smooth. The "backside" of a blower drive is pretty dramatic. My guess is, it'd ruin the belt pretty quickly as they tend to flop around a lot. The belts don't get snugged up the way a serpentine does.

    HoOdRaT 3.0..... Blown 421 LSX.

The pump on the left is for oil, and the one to the right is the fuel pump. I have a couple of Moroso crankcase vacuum pumps lying around and debated bolting one onto this thing. I don't because the oil pump should be more than adequate to evacuate the crankcase. I also made a pair of...

    HoOdRaT 3.0..... Blown 421 LSX.

Progress made over the weekend. The dry sump is now fully installed, and the engine is primed. One small leak was caused by a fitting not being fully tightened. I call that a win, as this thing now has quite a bit of plumbing. We're seeing 55 lbs with the pump driven by a cordless drill using...

My arbor for the fuel and dry sump got handled last weekend. I think that was the last part to make. Plumbing and wiring come next.

    Gunsmithing Ruger M77 stock inletting

I model and program code for new stuff as it comes in. I've always played the long game with this kind of work, so if you send it in, it'll be done at the normal rate we charge. That's the easy part. The other half of this is that the tempo around here has pushed our lead times out quite a...

    Gunsmithing Ruger M77 stock inletting

Ever since bigger stock companies have "trimmed the fat" for stock inlets, the tempo here has gone bezerk. This is our "bedding ready" inlet for the M77 action from Ruger. It's now a std service. The receiver surfaces are offset by +.05" so that the resin casting isn't paper-thin in some...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Adapting the receiver is $125.00 The DBM is $299.00 Fitting it to a stock is $200.00 It does not fit the OEM inlet. This one is a bit more conventional-looking vs the Platypus billed thing the original came with.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

F/N SPR we recently wrapped up. This one has our new AICS magazine-compatible DBM as well. -(note that the receiver must be machined to make this work)

That's a Jesel external belt drive. Converting the block to this requires machine work to fit the cover along with converting to a dry sump oiling system. Shown is the block in one of my mills as I was fitting the cover.

Some additional progress over the last few weeks. Headers... A very big thanks to my friend Tom. He was in charge and I was happy to be the "hold this for me" bitch. 2-1/4" primaries to a 4-1/2" collector. Fender dumps. I'm working on the teardrop tips now.

Something a friend has been working on and he tolerates me to sticking my nose in it here n there... A Ford/GM marriage of sorts. "Ebony aaannnd Ivory. . ." Lol. Windsor block with a pair of GM LT heads that I whittled on to fit. An earlier attempt with conventional LS heads slapped...

I would save the effort of doing this with CMM. This was a pass or fail exercise for your buddy, and it's pretty clear where your at. Experience is never cheap.
