    That's the gun the link takes you to but now the one they show. Remington Product Catalog - 2013 Page 37 of 2013 catalog. Lower right side. XCR Tactical Long Range. It does say available in 338 Lapua. Maybe its a new MLR with a different muzzle brake.

    Has anyone seen Remington's new online catalog? They show a Tactical Long Range model 700 with a detachable magazine and a brake. It's not the MLR lapua, but similar. Thoughts or comments?

    Yes even in 223 it looks nice. Why doesn't Remington offer this on their website. They should make more like this model instead of laminent and plastic stocked guns.

    I've got this 20" Shilen AR15 barrel and it shoots great. The gun it was on went another direction so I've got this barrel laying around and I am now thinking of building on it. My question is, while its not assembled should I have the barrel threaded for a brake or flash hider? Here in Iowa...

    Why would the UBR not be a good precision stock? Wouldn't it be the same as the old A2 stock but with the ability to collapse? The PRS only adds comb height adjustment.

    What I meant was any basic vise of good quality will work. Or are there any special qualities it needs to have, jaw width, height, etc.?

    Sorry for spelling it wrong. As for the Brownell's vise, I think it made overseas for awhile but now is made in America and quality is back. I guess any bench vise will work for me. Just looking for a swiveling 4" or 5" vise. Then a good pair of pads.
