    For factory offerings you can't beat a 6.5 creedmoor. BUT if I were you since you reload take a hard look at a 22 creedmoor. It's a fantastic round, stupid accurate and a pleasure to shoot. With a 1/7 or 1/8" twist you can shoot anything from a 75-90g bullet at over 3000 fps with no issue (...

    @ICU22250 - love the bolt fluting. How does the bolt cycle after the fluting? Still as smooth as butter like a typical Tikka action?

    Yes I've seen others run them on a plain T3. It even has a notes section in the ad for other Tikka T3 models. Only real question is what other bottom medal if not factory CTR..

    6.5x47L build barrel length help deciding

    The 2" is negligible. Personally I'd do 20" for several reasons including handiness with a suppressor and that you plan to be shooting 130s. But again it's only 2"... I'd either go 20" or just run 24" if you really want the speed. 22" doesn't make enough difference in velocity or handiness to go to.

    Agree with the comments above, I would look hard at a Tikka. Even a Savage will do all you need and more for much less than the rifles listed. If I had to pick from your list, I'd do Begara.

    Great question Nitty. For what I think the objective of the PRC is, that is pushing the 143 or 147, you'd want a longer barrel. At least 20", but probably more in the 22-24" range.

    Simply put, 7-08. Important factor here, do you reload? If yes, 7-08 remains the answer. If not, 6.5 creedmoor is now your answer.

    SLG - have you ran either 140 or 143s out of your 20"? I'm thinking of going with a 20" myself.
