    Good advice. I have a really good pair of Leupold binos I paid about $300 for. But I would like an upgrade without braking the bank.

    Nosler has upset a lot of Lapua fans by posting the muzzle velocity that is higher with the less efficient 265 grain bullet (it also uses 18% less powder). I do not look at 33 Nosler as being a direct competitor to the Lapua, but the advantages of it is that it will fit into a standard length...

    MacMillan lead times no better. Too many long range shooters out there LOL Reminds me of when cigars got popular 20 years ago....could not buy a decent cigar without waiting months.

    The only thing I can think of is check your scope ring alignment and make sure they are not canted up. even with the 20moa slant of the base, the rings should be in perfect alignment. With a 30mm and up tube diameter, you should have enough elevation adjustment be dead nuts at 100 yards.

    I am interested as well. I am building a 33 Nosler on a Pre-64 Win 70 action for long range big game and some match shooting. This round is new and does not seem to be adopted yet.

    Rifle Scopes Bushnell DMR II 3.5-21 50mm

    My requirements for a hunting scope is compact size, side focus, uncapped elevation knob and at least 30mm tube. I generally don't use magnification past 10x, so huge magnification is not an issue. For me, 2.5-10 or 4.5-14 is about right.

    What drives me crazy about using tactical style scopes for hunting is the mile high elevation knob. Some scopes have lower ones, which is awesome. My Leupold Marks are too high and block my vision if I have to come off the gun to see. Like when an animal is moving out of FOV or other hunting...

    I agree. They have invested heavily in tooling and really nice machinery. They have a huge CNC library. They get it done.
