    What would be the best length barrel for creedmoor hunting rifle build

    I am having a light weight hunting rifle built by LRI in 6.5 CM. My thought was 22" but they suggested 20". Great to 400 yards and you have to question the ethics of shooting animals with 6.5CM much past that. Not that it can't be done, but who wants cripples.

    Just got off the phone with McMillan. Placed order 6/4 for 3 stocks, unaltered in any way...no inletting color. Said might be 8 weeks. Now saying 8 ore weeks. 4 months to get an un-inletted stock. Glad I did not order a camo drop-in. Might be next Christmas before that would be ready.

    Weight x Velocity x Diameter / 7000. I agree. Better measure of lethality than just muzzle energy. Diameter matters even in deer sized game.

    I agree...coating process can really affect light transmission. Probably harder to control this process than the actual lense grinding.

    33 Nosler

    Anyone have experience with the newest Nosler round? I am going to start off shooting Nosler 275 grain ABLR factory ammo, but since there are few options, I will be reloading soon enough. I will mainly be hunting, but will get in some competition stuff as well with maybe the 300 grain bullets...
