    Can not get my Vortex quick release levers to fully catch

    I never had really good luck with QD mounts, seemed like they would always come loose and there would be little annoying problems. Quit using them and life got easier. Probably operator error, but that was my experience.

    More Dillon 550 Primer Issues

    This is for a 550. Not sure if this is relevant, but I thought I would throw it in. Dillion sells an "Alignment Fixture", basically a pin that goes from the toolhead to the primer hole as an index. It allowed me to perfectly align the toolhead with the ram. Press seemed to run smoother afterwards.

    Try a variety of ammo. I had a box of Winchester brand 300wm. It was for shit. Could not even come close to closing the bolt on some.

    I had the same problem with the same rifle. My "opinion" is when Remington cut the chamber it was on a Friday afternoon, didn't give a shit and squeezed 4 or 5 more barrels with the reamer and the chamber was undersized. The round would chamber just fine, after the 2nd or 3rd shot extracting...

    What actually makes the 6.5 Creedmoor so much better? Maybe it's the name? My understanding the only slight advantage is if you are going to use a AR platform. The 260 has slightly more case capacity. In a bolt gun you can use the same action. If you reload, then it really doesn't matter.

    I think you will like the Kestrel. The weather/environmental capability is one of if not the the main reasons I got the 5700. With the added ballistic features its a pretty cool toy.
