    Can the barrel be torqued harder than hand toght with a switchlug? Would it help to torque it? Compared to a shouldered barrel would you expect to have less accuracy?

    Glad to hear this, I spoke to mpa and the build is to far along to change anyway, so that makes it an easy choice. Mabey the next one will be an impact.

    I wanted to stay under 4k for the rifle not including the optic (7-35 atacr) so the ai all setup would put me outside of that. The price difference wouldnt be that big of a deal, but I already have money down at MPA... I have a call into them now to see what my options are as far as an action.

    So with the mil XT not being an option, it sounds like I would not give up much with the mil C. I like the idea of the h59, but it seems like people with alot more experience than me have moved away from it.

    I will contact NF and see if I can get an XT if not, probably the mil c or the h59. Is there a downside to having the extra elevation? It would let me shoot to 1760ish, and the scope would be centered around 1350 yds which should give the best posible image. Or, would it compromise the image...

    Yes, i just mounted one on an ar with a 1.5" heigh bobro mount 20moa. It also cleared with the larue 10moa mount that was 1.44 height, but that was real close with the scope cap on the end, i had to remove the ladder cover on the rail

    I think it looks like a quality piece for sure. Would that work on an ar 15/10 platform? I think i need a cantalievered mount. Also, i am strongly considering biting the bullet and ordering GDI over Bobro. Is the GDI worth it?

    Regarding barrel length and sd, I have had better sd numbers with 24" and 26" barrels on rifles i have had vs 16 and 20" rifles with handloads. I assumed it was due to the burn being more complete in the longer barrels. But perhaps if i had done ladder testing for the shorter barrels, my results...
