Re: 99% Sure this will be my .260 build
Here's how I'd run it;
Trued 700 action
Badger Knob
After Market PTG Lug
Jewell HVR Trigger
McMillan or Manners Stock
#18 Krieger or #8 Bartlien finished at 26"
1-8.5 Twist
Badger M5 or Surgeon DBM
That's a much better suggestion!
Re: Most consistently accurate 10/22 barrel?
Thanks for the input!
Follow up question - How much accuracy difference should I see between Lilja/Shilen vs Kidd?
Thanks again!
I know there is no such thing as a best or most or whatever, but I'm about to replace my 10/22 barrel and add a McMillan stock and looking for input.
I plan to thread it for suppressor as well.
Thanks!
Re: 308 SBR barrel question
I've used them several times before on AR15 projects, but everything in their catalog looks to be setup for Armalite instead of DPMS.
I'll call next week and find out.
I just got my paperwork back on a DPMS lower to put together a 12" SBR. I'm debating on purchasing an upper and having the barrel cut back, or finding a new barrel and building the upper.
Does anyone know who makes decent but not necessarily match quality barrels with a carbine profile for 308...
Re: New IOR 1-10x26 scope!
Scott,
I would like the side focus, but if the knob could be slightly smaller so it wouldn't be as possible to get accidently moved.
I would definitely keep the dot SFP and the reticle FFP.
Look forward to seeing it!
Re: LaRue OBR Trigger
I recently finished wringing out the gold trigger in my OBR compared to the stock trigger.
What I found was (along with a much lighter pull), my hits and groupings were much more consistent. My best group size didn't change, but the flyers out to .75 and .8 groups went...
Re: Strider
As a dealer, I can tell you that they are very durable, but the fit and finish can leave something to be desired at times.
If you're looking for a hard use piece and don't mind a few blemishes, you are good to go.
Re: Any Interest shooting out to 3,000 yards in SW
I'm definitely in.
I have relatives in that area and my family could play with the relatives while I shoot.
Please let me know if this pans out
Thanks!
Re: Larue OBR
I'm running a 16" OBR with an AAC 7.62SD. The gun shoots as least as well if not slightly better with the can and recoil is noticeably less.
I would definitely recommend it.
Re: 338 Lapua.
The benefit to the 300's are much better wind resistence. Since Elevation is relatively predictable and wind isn't as much so, the 300's help to minimize the effects of the less predictable component to long range shooting.
Re: How To Cut Body Fat: The Proper And Healthy Wa
Trooper Brian,
I get up around 0500 - 0530 and work out around 0730. How would you recommend to modify the pre and post workout meal as in your example?
Also,
Would you be ok with working in protein shakes with a couple of your suggested...
Re: LaRue OBR Trigger
Pact told me that they were the same trigger.
For the OBR you have to order one with the hammer modified. Contact them and they will get you set up.
