I sold a gen 1 a couple months back and sorta kinda wish I wouldn't have. I just couldn't fall in love with the reticle.
The optic itself was insanely good
made a 1st round impact at 1068 with an 18" 223 DMR.
Needed 15.2 mil of elevation (only had 13 I could dial)
Needed 5.5 Mil of wind. Didn't have enough to hold and was forced to dial.
I prefer having the choice...have since changed optics.
Don't count out the pre-owned market. Any of the 2000 to 2500 optics can be had for 1500-1800, and even if you end up not liking them...they will be worth the same if you decide to offload to try something else.
In a factory action, I prefer my 3 CRF M70s, but the flat bottom is just one part of it. The CRF, the 3 position safety, the quality of the steel, etc etc etc.
In a custom action, I don't really care.
That's all fine and well...but when I see a person that has multiple sale ads that are marked as "sold"
It helps to be able to PM the person that said "I'll Take It' and ask how the transaction went.
When it's just bumped 6 times and then magically gets marked sold...I don't have any way to...
Keep your eyes out for these kind of scammers boys and girls.
This fella popped up shortly after I commented and just about got me.
Admins already got it handled...just a friendly reminder.
Agreed. Had a Gen2, sold it, had 2 Gen 3's. Sold them all.
Only way I'll buy another 6-36 G3 is if it's a black one.
Hell, I'd even be happy to seen an OPMOD option in FDE.
Vortex Purple is a no-go for me
I realize this is OLDDDDD, but I've been looking for a 34mm cantilever mount with 30 moa as well. Could get by with 20, but figured I'd start looking.
I have an Aadmount and wish he would have continued that endevor, but I realize the market and time/energy needed. Mine is only 20 and that's...
ironically, it's about as good as the 6-36 XRSIII at 1/3 the price, but that doesn't make it great.
I started my budget journey with the Strike Eagle 5-25, went to a Match Pro ED 5-30 (was an improvement) but barely... then to a 5-25 Arken was an improvement, and then to a DNT The One...
not bad , but many folks suggested keeping the top 1 or 2 mils as minimal as possible, so I left it out. (I did have them in there originally, but took them out or it starts looking too much like a GR2ID
