    LMT .308 MWS

Anxious to see these results! Been saving to get a LMT MWS but have been on the fence since one of the main reasons was the ability to switch between 308/260 Best of luck to you, Seekers

No, I got it. You shot that great group with 4064 & then later said he suggested H4895, (what do you guys think?) It's late I could still be wrong, LOL Nice stick and shooting in any case ;)

I just chuckled when I saw that one hole, ;) Very Nice! then I shook my head when I read about wanting to try other powders, To what gain? IMR 4064 is a great powder, is what's believed to be in the FGMM for it's temperature insensitivity and low fluctuations in velocity. Read...

    POF 14.5" 308 at 850 yards ! Holy s**t!

I was amazed by this feat! :D So much so that I've changed my build plans for the Matrix Aerospace lower w/2 uppers that shipped today. The uppers will still be .260 & .308 but the 308 just went from 22" to 18". I already have a bunch of CFE223 on hand for my AR so I'll be able to work up some...

    .223 - 5.56

Are you going with a twist in the 1:7-1:7.7 range? I'm guessing that's the twist you'll need to stabilize those bullets. I'm thinking when you work up a load the accuracy node will dictate your velocity. Max load probably won't be the most accurate. Sounds like a great project please post the...

.260 Rem : varget and 140 grain Amax

Question about REL17? I DO NOT have a 260 but have the itch and have been reading everything I can find about the 6.5 family to help make up my decision. This article below was very helpful and discusses powders and REL17 as a favorite but I don't hear about it for the 260. Is there a reason...

Anybody interested in this combination should see the link below, where Dan Newberry duplicates the FGMM 175 round using these components. Very good read as he adjusts for variance in weight between manufacturers brass. The above load is almost right on. Seekers...

Then state all your needs to get an accurate answer, long range accurate shooting to 600 yards is not usually associated with hunting. good luck on your new endeavor, Seekers

You don't need to waste money trying lots of bullets, 175 Sierra Match King or 178 AMAX will be fine for a long ways out. After you get more proficient you might want to change down the line but most are happy with one of these and they won't break the bank. I still shoot the 175 SMK's after...

That velocity will be fine for your intended distance. It's not all 168's that have a problem with going into the "trans-sonic" problem, only the Sierra Match Kings. Most people shooting 308's are using the bigger bullets or something bigger than 168 grain for 1000 yards. 175 grain Sierra Match...

First, welcome to Snipers Hide. Looks like you're headed just fine, "1/2 moa at 200yrds". Of course the next thing is to make sure that it maintains that same accuracy out to your desired ranges, "800-900 yards". I don't mean that it will get less accurate since you're not using 168 Sierra Match...
