    Rlandry, The 22-250 is a very popular varmint cartridge, but yes, probably not the most popular here. That aside, I have an older Remington 700, 1-14 twist similar to yours. So far, I've had the best results with a 55 grain Hornady V-Max. Others swear by the 40-50 grain bullets... I'd love to...

    New Rotating Shooting Bench Setup

    Culling new brass, Is this typical of Winchester brass?

    Sadly, this seems to be a common problem with the newer Red/Black bags of Winchester Brass! Several years back I purchased 2- 50 round bags of 300 WM brass. Out of those 100 pieces, I culled 2 that had neck/shoulder creases, or folds that were definitely an issue... The rest looked acceptable...

    Sir, Looks like if "need be", you could carefully take a file, & take any material off of the outside diameter that might interfere with anything you were to try and screw onto those threads! Like previous poster stated, it looks like the issue is on the outside, & thankfully, not in the bore...

    Remington 5r milspec 223 barrel twist 20 vs 24?

    It is my understanding that the 223 5R's were 1-9" twist. I have one of the earlier models. I admit I've never actually measured the twist rate! That said, I love this thing, it shoots 53 grain Hornady V-Maxes into tiny groups with Varget! It's my favorite Ground Squirrel rifle!!!!

    Rifle Scopes Ok, stupid question...

    The 2 I've taken off of my NF's peeled off fairly easily. You are right, careful with sharp objects!!!!!! I've been able to get a small area started with a finger nail, & then carefully peel it off.. I was even able to save the stickers.... Ha Ha Ha... Be careful, good-luck! Idaho-5R

    22-250 ai

    Liberator52, I'd guess that a 1-8 twist 22-250AI should shoot a 75 ELD just fine. In the past, I've shot some good groups through a 1-8 McGowan barrel screwed onto an older Savage action with the older Hornady 75 V-Max. Also had pretty good luck with the Nosler 80 Custom Comp.... Reading this...
