    Rifle Scopes New Athlon Cronus BTR - very weak/mushy turret detent

    I sold my Cronus BTR to get a Leupold Mark 5 and have not looked back. The Cronus has good glass and illumantion and will get done what you need it to. I didnt care for the turrets either. If you ever get into PRS you may want to go another route.

    I believe the MK5 and the Vx6 have the same glass not the Vx5. I do know for certain that the MK5 and the MK 8 have the same glass. The Leupold rep told me that.

    Sounds good let us know what you go with but keep one thing in mind. You wont truely know until you start getting behind your rifle and start shooting with it. That said, its a very good plan!

    The Mark 5 has my vote and is close the the NF ATACR as far as glass is concerned. Turrets the Razor is more stiff than the Mark 5 but both have very audible and tactile turrets. Weight of course the Razor is quite a bit heavier.
