    Not for me. Large rifle is primed on an automated 750, small rifle on an automated 1050. The consistency of primer depth in each of those machines is plenty good enough to be in the range where some slight variations don’t affect anything. That’s what I understand of the smart people doing...

    It’s nice. Buy once, cry once. If you’re doing batches of 200+ cases of say 6.5cm or .308 then it is a good investment. But you need the big media separator too.

    You should have enough clearance to put a lock ring (like a Dillon ring or short action customs) on the bottom of the tool head, that gets you a little more depth on the die. It isn’t right but it works. You do lose the ability to use the allen screw on the lock ring going into the tool head...

    There’s nothing wrong with the 787R for a hunting rifle, other than being robust/heavy. Also note, the 787R has different barrel threads than anything else Impact manufactures. Barrels aren’t interchangeable from a 787 with anything else from Impact at the moment, including long action NBK...
