    Same for me... MUCH prefer the 5-27 over the 8-40 ..... 8-40 gets dark and soft at higher powers...

    Took some people out for a 50 bmg shoot today ...2 HTI,s set up.................. one with S&B 6-36 .................... and the other with the DNT 7-35 that i set up for initial testing of the DNT some time ago...( 1000rds plus now ) . S&B has the Tr2id Reticle..the DNT the TOR Reticle.. Nice...

    I will throw a cat amongst the pigeons.... Consider the DNT 7-35..... I have several and honestly they defy their price tag !!! I had 2 S&B ,s fail on my 50bmg.... one of the DNT,s now has over Ik rounds on the same 50bmg and not one issue.. Glass will surprise you.... It made me qustion...

    I actually just fitted another DNT to and old build i did some years ago.. For curiosity value... i just got another S&B High Power 5-45...... Myself and some friends compared the DNT to the 5-45, and 6-36 S&B,s.... The DNT while not up to their standard , certainly does itself...

    Not @Lowlight The glass on the DNT is more than usable !! The DNT gives a lot of high end scopes a run for their money!! When you factor in the price...well its embarrassing. From my use....up to 28x is very very good ...upper powers ( 30 -35) are OK but darken a little..
