    The DNT is decent optic... even in context to optics costing much much more!!!

    Bit off topic ...but.. Interesting thing when comparing the Tangent 7-35 / ZCO 8-40 / NF 7-35 / S&B 6-36. The NF 7-35 trails at the rear.. Up to 30x the TT wins .... closely followed by S&B then ZCO ...Once you go 30x and above , you are literally splitting hairs between the 3!!

    Having compared the DNT to the "Aussie" DNT/Arken and also the Arken with the VPR ( US) reticle ...the DNT does have slightly improved optical clarity. If anyone wants to compare...look at and object that is silhouetted with a bright background ...the "Arken" has a sort of halo effect...the DNT...

    Had a similar reaction from several others who came out to a shoot on my range a few days ago. We had alot of glass ( some VERY pricey) in use on various rifles. All performed great.....but when it was ask the price of the DNT....a couple flat out wouldn't believe it !! They were astonished...

    As my barrel has gotten more and more wear.....it becomes harder to clean.....especially the carbon aspect.

    Usually yes....then in storage I just use the Hoppes

    I usually shoot around 50-60 shots max , through my 375...then completely clean ( carbon /copper) and store with Hoppes. #9 Just shy of 2000 rounds on my factory barrel........ still less than 1/2 moa.

    The 5-20 US is my LEAST favourite S&B "Opticaly" .... It can be quite "milky, hazy at times....its reasonably sharp but glass wise i think its S&B,s 2nd worst scope ( just edging out the 3-27) optically. My dealer here in Aus got NEW stock of the current 5-25 PM2 revision...he is stunned how...

    Mate... i have the utmost respect for YOU and that response.. (y) My original thread was never meant to try and portray the DNT/Arken as an equal , outright replacement for "Top Tier" glass . but i certainly did want to put forward that it was , and still is a surprise how the DNT/Arken...

    New load for the 50.. 750 Amax 226gr AR 2218....COL..5.920" RWS case , RWS Primer 3 shots at 110yds 1200yds 2000yds The 50 had enough energy at 2000yds to swing the 16mm thick plate with one of the lower hits to topple it!! DNT still going strong....S&B 6-36.....out of action again!:cry:

    1200yds and 2000yds. .......Inner circle centers are 3" The big 50 is impressive....one of the lower hits on the plate (16mm thick ) swung it enough to topple it !!

    Session with the 50bmg and DNT today... No issues.. 3 Shots at 110yds sight in with new load.. Then out to 2000yds

    @carbonbased thanks for the kind words mate!! Just want to put forward my take on optics... I am in a position that i can own ANY optic i choose . I have had and still own a very large selection of optics. I have NO bias , but until recently i have had a fixation on one aspect of optics...
