    One Bullet for .308

    I'd pick the 168 Amax(with the 178 close behind it). Cheap, easy to load, accurate and deadly on game. Not the best for everything, but a good compromise as an all-around.

    I agree that either of the two you have will work fine. I use the 168 Amax from a 16" 308 and have killed hogs out to 350 yards without issue.

    Winchester 243 brass 136 grain Scenar L @ 2.300" B/O (2.900" OAL) 43.0 grains H4350 CCI-200 2820 FPS from a 24" Bartlein 8 twist. Beautiful groups, SD of 5. No stress on brass at all, gonna go up a grain and see what happens.

    Then hang on to your pennies for a bit. New reticles are coming is what I was told straight from them. I too want something other than the Gen 2 XR and mildot. I had replied that they should look at the MSR and they said it's in the running.
