A true Sportsman's Paradise up for auction

If it’s anything like my state, public access is the high water mark…..and I see a LOT of high water marks on almost every inch of that property. So, around here, you’d never be able to keep people from hunting/fishing all that water

    Leveling a scope

Yea, you gotta level the rifle first and have a way to keep it level. Use the wheeler level kit. Put the little level on the rail, then attach the level that clamps onto the barrel. Make both levels match The level clamped on the barrel is a constant reference to make sure your rifle is...

    What does this mean?

Probably 200, as they’re separate charges with 2 different levels of severity, but it likely depends on that specific court and how they do it. Around here, if there are 4 separate charges they are lumping together, with $100k total bond, on the list of charges, they will have each valued at $25k

    Tikka T3 Thread

I started ordering parts for this build last October. The barrel was by far the longest wait, but finally showed up after 9 months, just in time for my hunt in 3 weeks. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I’ll get it out this weekend. 24” 6.5prc proof Scythe Ti Nx8 f1 4-32x, NF rings LRH...

    A scope ring question.

Are you sure it’s “.275” and not 1.275? .275” would be less than 1/3 the height of the lowest rings ive ever seen. Don’t worry about getting it as close as possible to the barrel.

Manners Composite Stocks Estimated Lead Times

I transport most of my rifles in a hard case with the bolt pulled, so I’m constantly taking my bolts out. That’s where it’s going to suck most. But also cleaning, etc, etc. I haven’t picked a case for this new rifle yet. maybe I’ll just use a nice soft case.

Manners Composite Stocks Estimated Lead Times

I am really happy with it overall. But why would Manners make a specific tikka variant (LRH tk), that doesn’t allow the tikka bolt to be removed without first removing the cheek piece? Couldn’t the recess have been made to work with the rifle the stock is designed to fit? This is just a heads...

Elk Hunting Rifles, What are you Using?

Mine is pretty similar. manners LRH, 24” proof carbon sendero, Nx8 4-32 with nf rings, silencerco scythe, and tricer bipod (w/long legs) is 10.5lbs all in ready to roll. Im not calling him a liar, I’m really just curious where the weight is

Elk Hunting Rifles, What are you Using?

I’m not seeing how that could be anywhere close 12lb without optics. Even with the ckye pod. Looks like it would be 9-10 tops. You have pretty lightweight stuff, except the bipod. Unless it’s a steel arca rail

Yup. I watched all the videos i could and took a little info from each. Yours was the last 10% i needed. The brown sugar turns into concrete under pressure. Thanks dude

    Tikka T3 Thread

First time trying to get a barrel off. I really struggled to keep the barrel from spinning. I had given up tonight and was taking it to my smith tomorrow. I watched a quick video where he used brown sugar and also added a second little vise. I figured I have everything he showed in the video...

Elk Hunting Rifles, What are you Using?

Makes sense. I didn’t realize mine was so heavy. We are limited to 16lbs here, so a shade under 15 was a little too close. I’m just waiting on the 24” carbon proof to put the new one together. The proof is almost (.3oz) as light as the factory barrel, so I’m anticipating 10.5lbs.

Elk Hunting Rifles, What are you Using?

I had 15lbs before I edited it haha. I figured 13.5 with no can, but that must be a heavy barrel. 6.5cm from last year….14lb 12oz. Heavy enough that I’m building a 6.5prc that’s 4.5lbs lighter for my wife to shoot (because I have to carry it 😆) This is mine. 300wm tikka

    Rifle Case

I use Pelican 1750’s and 1720’s (for folding stock) for bolt guns. I make sure to only carry essentials in them to keep the weight down. Mag, bolt, rifle, can. That’s it. Every piece of foam you cut out of it, reduces the support for the rifle
