    This must speak volumes to the places I go (don't go). Ive never been turned down from using cash. Literally says on it it legal tender for all debts public and private.

    You must not have any "cash price" places in your area or haven't paid attention to the signs. Lots of places around here add the 3% to card purchases, so while you haven't paid interest, you may have paid the vendor fees. If I see the signs I pay cash, Im. sure I've paid plenty of vendor fees.
