    I appreciate the way two cops pull you over and approach your car, hands on guns, one on either side of car. They then write you a safety belt ticket because they are concerned for your health and safety. Get in their cars and drive away sans safety belt. It’s so touching that they care about me.

    Neither I nor the many hundreds of critters I shoot with them agree. I find them uniformly excellent. No idea what the difference could be.

    Your statements regarding the SMK not expanding, and they they tumble and fragment is 100 % contrary to what I see on hundreds of kills over the last 25 years . I see uniform expansion and zero tumbling. Perhaps your critters are built differently?

    It’s only unhelpful because you cannot be helped. You come here with a most basic reloading question. A beginner should have figured it out. Then you criticize helpful comments. Some folks are simply not supposed to reload ammo. Your expertise is clearly elsewhere.

    Pulling left Why?

    Often caused by “shouldering” the rifle. Sort of a flinch where you push it forward with shoulder as you fire. In the past training indicated a firm grip with both hands and seating the rifle firmly in the shoulder pocket. Today people seem to be less inclined to do that.

    When a barrel is cleaned you can run 50 patches through it and it will still appear wet with a bore scope.

    This is rimfire section. Might want to get a mod to move it. To answer your question, I don't think you can truly dry oil from a bore with a few patches. You certainly don't want to leave much oil there as it can cause pressure issues and bore damage. So my thought is to dry it but the residual...

    I did not read all the replies. I have found accuracy drops off after 5000-5500 rds of mk 262. Vertical stringing at longer ranges and higher SD’s and ES. I was told by a reliable source from Crane found the same thing. YMMV.

    I would recommend starting with a bolt gun preferably .22 RF.
