    I try to have just the tiniest bit of compression if it is easy to get. It helps keep the powder column always consistent in my opinion.

    Can't remove Muzzle Brake off of Ruger Gunsite

    Don't be afraid of the heat. Blast it with the propane torch. If it glows red it is too much. Twist brake off. If it has a jam nut make sure to loosen that first. You will need more than 60 ft lbs. It is not uncommon to exceed 100 If the monkey really put it on well at the factory. Shock helps.

    All my AI 30 cal barrels HATE Hornady bullets. I was popping primers at 2550 fps with 308 178 BTHP rounds. I even pulled down FGMM 175 rounds which shot at 2700 just fine and put the 178 in making sure to not touch the lands. It was still overpressure by a massive amount. I have no idea why...

    I have seen OSI arrest folks for some stuff that never happened. Friends of mine. Destroyed their careers. Over false allegations that had no substantiating evidence. Arrests prove nothing. And how much do you want to bet that SIG "assisted" with the investigation by having their "experts"...
