    Vortex Razor LHT

Useless unless I want to play mathematicians… or, you know, be able to actually compare a scopes specs as experienced by the shooter. Maybe you should go back to laying behind your scope instead of trying to offer advice on them since you can’t be bothered to learn about them.

I’ll file that under willful ignorance.

That’s field of view, not apparent field of view. Apparent is linear fov/magnification and is a function of the eye piece rather than the objective. The angle you are seeing vs the linear measurement at a prescribed distance. So 35.3/3=11.767 and 7/15=0.467 degrees

    Hey ... it's $200

I reserve the right to be wrong… but I believe that you only need to get a dealer involved via form 3 when it crosses state lines. In state you can sell and transfer to other individuals yourself via a form4. Thus, you should be able to transfer to your own trust, yourself.

    Image stabilized binoculars question

Probably the sig, I squaded with a guy that had the imaged stabilized, good enough glass. It was pretty awesome looking through them offhand- being shaky, turning it on and it all sorts just goes matrix slow mode and it’s so smooth and gradual.

Gunsmithing What are you guys using now days to clean and lube?

Boretech is alright but I find wipeout easier and more effective in use. If it’s hard carbon I use some clr.

    Seating force

I recommend brushing after you have done all the processing, I do it after it comes out of the tumbler the final time and I have chamfered case mouths. I can tell a difference still by hand if I don’t. It’s like it smears it around even or knocks down the high spots that vibratory rumbling alone...

    Seating force

You annealed, brush the necks. What are your measurements and how consistent are they? Is it the result of differences in neck thickness and concentricity?

    Powder compacting when seating bullets.

You compact it enough and it won’t compact anymore and you can’t hit your proper lengths. Actually start crushing powder and you make more sirface area which makes it burn faster. Also, sometimes it can push the bullet back out a bit depending on your neck tension. Nothing inherently bad by...

Not another gun wont shoot thread.

Take it apart, look for where pieces are sliding against each other, should have some rub marks if something is causing draggy ignition.

    308 brass over sized

That’s what you get with gunshow range pick up processed trash, pretty standard crap really. That’s why no one recommends it. It’s damn sure gonna fit the smallest chambers and it’s not their concern if it lasts any more than that.

School me on precision suppressor(s) vs. brake

Turn the turret all the way back down to 0. Then, unlock the single Allen screw on the side and use the inner slotted turret to adjust your zero. It’s there in the manual. https://vortexoptics.widen.net/view/pdf/o0fsrrqzni/VTX_M-00311-0_RZR_HD-G3_RS_P_PM_WEB.pdf?t.download=true&u=ymrkrm&x.share=t

School me on precision suppressor(s) vs. brake

What scope and how much upward elevation travel do you have available? Sounds like you hit the zero stop to me and just need to unlock/adjust downwards to open more elevation travel. It’s possible, I suppose, but I think it’s highly unlikely that a muzzle brake is causing 8+ mils of elevation...
