    Prs rifle choice

I do too. Especially since I got the barreled action for $450 with a timney trigger. I don't reload yet but plan to next spring. I still.need to get a stock and scope for it, these were used for testing. Only gripe is neck is tight at .336 and I'm having a buddy open it up to Saami spec so I can...

    Prs rifle choice

I'm looking to do a few matches a year, club style matches going from 600 to 1100 yards. I have 2 rifles I can use. 1) rem722 308 20" will be braked 2) rem 700 223 8t 26" can or braked The 308 balances just in front of magwell, 223 about 5" forward. Which would.you choose? The 223 shoots...

    Barrel contour

Possibly, I had a 20" medium Palma and i don't think it was this thick. My rem 700 varmint is .820 but at 26"

    Barrel contour

I picked up this r722 with a 308 barrel. Has r.w. butler on it. Came with a ai knock off stock. Anyone tell me the contour or equivalent? Measures 1.2 out to 3-4" and .820" at 20" shoots great. Tight neck though.

New remingtons are 8twist and are available with a 26 barrel. I have one coming in today. I plan on dropping it in a krg bravo. I can report back on its performance soon if anyone would like that

    Bolt gun for wife.

All good options, thanks everyone. So far it looks like going rem 700 sps tac and dropping it in a bravo. Or spending the money and going Mac bros evo 2 in a bravo in either 223 or 22arc. If we go anything bigger we'll probably go hmr or ctr. I'm gonna have her shoot the bergara 223 more and...

    Bolt gun for wife.

She liked the challenge of the 223 with that crappy scope so I'm assuming with a proper setup for her she'll love it even more. Now she wants a matched pair lol. I'm not afraid to spend the money...just gotta find it. I like the seekens hit in 223wylde. Luckily for me I'm a FFL/sot. So stuff is...

    Bolt gun for wife.

Yes. It would be on a static range only or small walk out to coyote hunting area if she desires. Given prices for match 223 are close to 6, 6.5cm and 308 we might lean towards a bigger center-fire. She probably will only shoot under 500 rounds a year anyway

    Bolt gun for wife.

I'd say about 1k for rifle. Optic was just a cheap scope I had as I wait for my new one to ship.

    Bolt gun for wife.

I took the wife out shooting yesterday at our local range. Started with my grandfather's old Belgium browning nomad then her g43x. Handguns arnt her strong suit so we moved to my new bergara b14 ridge sp in 223. After zeroing the optic I let her have a go on some steel at 100. Then 400 yards...
