    Before I started using the whisper pickle I kept some impacts in my backpack. 75% of the time I forgot to put them on... looking back I should have just kept some of those plugs that sit around your neck.

    Why's that? I I've used my slik and pig saddle with great effect on stupid light and stupid heavy rifles. Unless I'm misinterpreting what you mean by that.

    My gunsmith, @txfireguy2003 of Blackland Precision, threaded my t3 for me friday night and today was range day. Preferred 55 grain loads but I'll experiment some more. T3 Varmint in 22-250, athlon ares btr 4.5x27 and silencerco omega 300. Not the best groups, but I'm still learning the rifle...

    It's the factory varmint. Definitely an added bonus to a great rifle. Only downside is it's a 22-250 and their twist rate wont let me run heavier loads. Scope rings should be on my door step today, and my smith will hopefully be able to thread it on Saturday. It's been a real conundrum deciding...

    It's a T3 for sure. So looks like my options are limited to the factory mags or run AI mags in a chassis like the bravo. I love the look of the factory stock, but I cant stand the mags.

    Does anyone know if a t3 varmint will work ctr stock, and work with the ctr bottom metal? I know it seems counterintuitive, but I like the idea of running ctr mags over AICS again.

    I just ordered one of the Ares for my newish Varmint 24" 22-250. I really dig it, especially for the price. It's getting a Bravo before deer season as well, I'm thinking sako green with an FDE cerakoted BA.

    Texas Dove opener, only hunted for an hour and a half and left with 13. Hunting buddy that invited me out got 7. Another 11 for me, and 5 for him this evening. I was somehow making the long, difficult shots but was missing the 15-20 yard easy ones.

    Couldn't imagine the reaction from the rest of the family, I would indeed be stared at like I had my pecker hangin out of my church clothes. @armorpl8chikn sounds like the real deal, and from the sound of he has a much better taste in the womenz than my reformed Texan, former floridiot stepsister.
