Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I found prone or off a bench my elbow would be bent outward and the short LOP made it hard on my wrist and hand. But when shooting positional I drop my elbow down along my body and do my best to get it to rest on my hip or knee for extra stability. With my elbow down I have zero issues with my...

Is it worth reloading precision ammo on a single stage versus progressive press?

Once you have the dies setup there shouldn’t be any adjustments as long as your using lock rings……. For me in the Hornady lnl press I have the quick change bushings on all my dies with lock rings so no adjustments when changing. Just screw them in and done. I do verify setting by measuring...

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I just measured all my rifles and I’m running 13.5-14” lop at 6’5” Have you tried shortening your length of pull on your new chassis to get the eye relief you need and then trying positions and see how you like it? Shortening lop an inch isn’t going to significantly change the angle of your...

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I’m 6’5”. I used to run longer LOP to be comfortable for prone/bench shooting but have found shorter LOP is much more comfortable for positional shooting. Example, I started with a krg bravo and was running 5-6 spacers I think, I then pulled all the spacers or maybe had 1 and improved positional...

Is it worth reloading precision ammo on a single stage versus progressive press?

I switched all my ammo over to a Hornady lnl progressive a few years ago, including my match ammo. I was not able to tell a difference in target. My oal varies a little more than my old rock chucker but I’m able to produce ammo significantly faster. I have competed with many people that use...

Do you have experience with the hydraulic buffers vs the standard buffers?

    AR9 trigger help.

That makes sense, because mine feels like the bolt is slamming hard into the back of the buffer tube in recoil. I just figured that’s how it was assuming that JP would be perfect using their bolt and recoil system. I will weight it all tonight.

    AR9 trigger help.

Great info. I will weigh my buffer and bolt tonight. Reading on JP’s website it seems that they have changed their bolt and buffer maybe. I would describe the recoil of mine as harsh, which I was quite surprised at. It’s a 5” with a suppressor.

    AR9 trigger help.

I went through the rifle last night. Firing pin wasn’t stuck and spring was in good shape. I do have the JP silent buffer and bolt. Trigger didn’t seem to have any damage. The mating surfaces looked smooth and nothing broken. I’m going to order a trigger and see if that resolves my issue...

Time for a new knee pad discussion...

I also use the no cry off Amazon for work and for shooting. I have skin grafts on both knees from 3rd degree chemical burns and these work really well and I find them plenty stable. I am trying out some compression mountain bike knee pads this year because the straps x’d behind my knee get...

Which thing made the biggest difference?

Why do you wipe lube off by hand? Honest question. I lube a few hundred cases in a plastic tote with lanolin Dump them in the case feeder and run them through the press which first spot deprimes, 2nd full length sized with Forster non bushing die, then next is a mandrel to set neck tension...

Which thing made the biggest difference?

Biggest improvement for me was stop obsessing over the infinite micro details and just shoot more. I load my match ammo on a Hornady lnl ammo plant using a case feeder. Stressing less about the ammo and shooting more because loading is less of a chore has made me a significantly better shooter...
