    Nice job - and good write up. (y) As an aside, my son got a PD in MT shooting a .223 with a 75 ELD-M at 1015 yards. Ice picked the PD, and it staggered around for a moment, and then fell over. We found the bullet, and with the exception of the tip, could probably have been reloaded again. :D

A lot of dealers will low ball an offer buying from you on a high ticket firearm because they are worried it may possibly take them longer to find someone willing to purchase...

    Remington 40XB KS Varmint Special

    Plenty of Unertl external adjustment scopes on eBay, Gunbroker, and various forums. Shouldn't be hard to find what you are looking for magnification wise. I do love the look of the old time Unertl's, but a modern internal adjustment scope if hard to beat for actual long range use.
