    I was told that the Intens are similar to the Echo in terms of how much darker they are than gen 3 and your pics on page 2 seems to confirm that's the case. Is that accurate?

    I was referring to the Intens. Aren't those selling for as much as a high spec filmless WP? Personally, at the same cost or near it, I can't see myself passing on a filmless for an Intens. I agree with Eliteuas, $3,300 is pretty high for a -14 with an Echo compared to JRH Enterprises and NV Inc.

    The other thing that should be mentioned is that the Echo will be noticeably darker than Gen 3 even with higher specs and a better image. I really liked the Echo but I didn't care for how much darker it was than Gen 3.

    +1 Emission points can get worse. I'd use the dealer's warranty while you have it even though most likely he'll be using the mfg's warranty. Ideally the dealer would take care of you out his stock and deal with the warranty so you don't have to.

    You're on the right track, it really comes down to your budget, and the specs. Thin filmed tubes & Echo's with great specs can hold their own pretty good however similar spec filmless is better.
