Night Vision Green vs White NV qestion

Now that’s pretty embarrassing. That’’s how we say it in Europe. Yeah that’s it. Lol

Night Vision Green vs White NV qestion

It really depends on what you plan to do with it and how much peace of mind you want. A device with a shorter warranty can be slightly cheaper but not always. The cost that affects price is the tube itself. Higher spec tubes cost more than lower spec. Dealers may or may not pass on lower costs...

Night Vision Flir ots is done

FYI - Vic @TNVC is going to get more info at SHOT regarding follow on support for the PTS line. I'm sure every FLIR dealer will do the same. They're going to run out of booth space that's for sure

Night Vision Entry level PVS-14 Mounts

Agreed! I've seen this come up a few times so better mention - if your helmet is bordering too tight then the 4D pads might not be so great you might have to go up a size. Only way to find out is to try it unfortunately.

Night Vision Entry level PVS-14 Mounts

+1 on the D-14. Even if you only stay with a monocular, it's a slick way to "upgrade" it, making it a articulating monocular. Instead of stowing your -14 sticking up over your head ready to smack into something, you just swing it up to the side so it's eyebrow level. When you do stow it, you can...

    Night Vision Anvis armor?

I know UNV (Ultimate Night Vision) has had them listed before. The proper name is DTNVG-AV. Hit up the other usual suspects (TNVC, etc.) just make sure to tell them you want the Anvis version. It might have an up charge over the standard.

    Night Vision Anvis armor?

The issue isn’t the tubes. The tubes are 10160, the same kind/format that are used in every bino that doesn’t have gain control. 10160 tubes will work in every housing unlike 11769 tubes (except modern L3’s with the removable gain pigtail). The issue is with the objective lenses. Anvis have...

    Night Vision Anvis armor?

Night Vision Inc sells an up armored PAS. I believe he also puts in better hardware (rod and screws). You send him your Anvis and he swaps it out and sends back. What I ended up doing with my -9 was making my own armor using aluminum angle. My PAS was cracked in half. I epoxy repaired it first...

Night Vision Wilcox G24 and G22 mounts - inconsistencies and questions

Yeah, don’t know about that right to left thing since both my Wilcox mounts are opposite and others I asked said their’s are left to right. Maybe it was a new tech or what not on the phone? Maybe a stocking dealer who reads this can take a look or knows firsthand.

Night Vision Wilcox G24 and G22 mounts - inconsistencies and questions

I had a similar experience. I have a G24 that I purchased new from a reputable dealer several years ago. I got a 2nd newer one in a private trade which I have since sold. The older one locks left to right which common sense says is correct for the same reason to not accidentally release the...

Night Vision Helmet pad kits for NV? (Edit: Also considering a new helmet)

You got the Caiman? That helmet looks pretty badass. Do OC accessories work with the rails?

Night Vision Helmet pad kits for NV? (Edit: Also considering a new helmet)

I have a AI SAM (got used) and I’m almost 99.999% positive it’s the Ops Core / Crye. ETA: Fast / Airframe IIRC the difference is this one is meant for universal shrouds. I’ve used it on both a Basejump and LTP and it works perfect. 4D pads work great on the TW. Get the ACH/MICH deluxe.

Night Vision Thin filmed vs Filmless white phosphorous.

That’s a filmless green tube? One of these days I want to get my hands on a high spec filmless green.

Night Vision Thoughts on the FLIR Scout series?

I used one for a week or two. At the right price, it’s a decent handheld. There was a used one in the ARF EE for a good price last I looked.

Night Vision Thin filmed vs Filmless white phosphorous.

You’ll need a shroud with the night cap so factor that price in too

Night Vision Thin filmed vs Filmless white phosphorous.

If it comes down to having one -14 only vs one -14 with a LAM, I’d choose the -14 and LAM. If you’re using it mainly for hunting, honestly you might want to consider a thermal depending on where you hunt. You can find good used ones in that range or new 320 or 384 cores. They compliment each...

Night Vision Thin filmed vs Filmless white phosphorous.

@5RWill I’d go filmless if the specs will be higher than than the filmed. Also, the white phosphor color looks different between filmed & non. The filmed is a little darker from what I can tell. Even with the same or similar specs the filmless should be better. I say “should” because I haven’t...
