    Yeah I agree. My 14.5 JP upper is slower than my 16 Lmt which is slower than my 22 Craddock bull upper. Compared to my 26” heavy bolt gun the 22 runs about 275 for slower. Accuracy is based on the barrel and build quality. My Jp is about as good as a 14.5 Lmt with a converted Craddock RtR 14.5”...

    No, the NLE ( non-locking elevation) just removes the lock function. And if you get the 10mil knobs the tactile feedback is very clear..

    Have you looked through them both? Both will have good service, both are good glass, but which looks the best to you. I am a diehard ZCO guy and have fair number of 840s and love them, you on the other hand may not.

    I normally remove clips but sometimes just ignore them, for me they just get in the way so just drop them in my left from pocket with maybe a hankerchief on top if I think it might fall out.

    I have not done break in on a barrel in about 45 years, last one did not reward me so I quit, never seen a detrimental effects from the decision.

    I would bet there are a Butt load of Decisions that you should be reconsidering. But having given up all you freedoms, the last one is red vs blue, though I bet you feel right at home in west coast blue states!

    Yeah both are LMT monolithic uppers. I would normally like them just aft of the hand guard/receiver junction. These are just a bit forward of that point.
