    I’ll put it this way: a rifle gas system is a wobbler on a 16” barrel. It’s doesn’t belong on anything longer. Period.

    I like rifle for a 16” barrel, but intermediate is a valid option also. Mid length is the wrong option at least for anything longer than about 13”.
