FPS velocity change per degree on various powders

I do not have real data to support this, but anecdotally I think I have observed that with H4350 temperature differences have greater effect on max loads than on mild loads.

FPS velocity change per degree on various powders

No other info, but I think this might be the chart you are referring to. But the numbers do not all match your list.

    Bubble level vs Electronic level

I agree about them sticking out and burning batteries if you don't turn them off, but the big advantage to me (and my aging eyes) is that I can see the green light without having to look at it directly or focus on it. I don't use the Send it levels on my hunting rifles, but I do use them on...

    Bubble level vs Electronic level

Both But the Send it is more accurate and you can tune the sensitivity

    Electronic anti-cant recommendations

There are different mounting options for different models of the Send it levels, inc a 90 degree bracket for mounting to a Spuhr mount I like the Send it levels, I haven’t seen anything similar.

    22LR Ammo

Wow, I had very different results with the CCI coppers. Terrible even at 50 yards, not even minute of crow.

Improving My Reloading Process - Biggest Impact on SD

You don't say if you are doing anything to brush or lube the necks after steel pin tumbling, but if not, you might consider lubing the inside of the necks with dry lube. I think I get much better consistency in neck tension by doing that. That's the cheap suggestion. The more costly...

    Powder storage update

I have little hygrometers glued on the inside of the lid in my most used open jugs, and there is very little variation while it is stored. I try to keep the humidity between 45-50% pretty much year round and t only changes noticeably if I leave the jug open in humid weather.

Powder to use with both 6CM and 6.5 PRC

RL26 is a great powder, but you need to watch out for carbon rings. It can also be a little flaky when the temps get to 90F and above.

Powder to use with both 6CM and 6.5 PRC

I use H4350 in my 6CM with 109gn and 110gn bullets, and H1000 in my 6.5 PRC with 153gn bullets. I do have a good load for the H1000 for 110gn bullets in my 6CM, but it compresses the powder a bit. If your barrel is shorter than 26”, you will be limited on velocity, but t works pretty well...

    Temperature sensitivity

When I play with the numbers, that looks like about a 50 fps difference. I think I am seeing a bit more than that, but in the same neighborhood.

    Lapua Biathon Extreme

Have some that I just started testing. Right now, it looks like it is shooting better than my good lot of CenterX when the temp is below 50F. It looks like it is loaded faster than the CenterX, but right now I don’t have good numbers for warmer temps.

6.5 PRC with 1-7” twist. Thoughts? Experience?

Or just not use Hornady bullets which have known problems with blowing up. The Berger 153.5 LRH bullets shoot just as well as the 153 ATips and have no such problems. And 1:8 twist is marginal for stabilizing bullets in that class. But it really depends on what you want to shoot, 1:8 will...

6.5 PRC with 1-7” twist. Thoughts? Experience?

1:7 works fine for most stuff in the 6.5 PRC. I did have 153 A-Tips start blowing up after about 1200 rounds on my last barrel. The Berger 153.5s have never had a problem. I also never had a problem with the Hornady 147ELDs either, but did not shoot them as much. I shoot all of these in the...

    6.5 PRC Load Data

I’ve used both magnum and regular primers in my 6.5 PRC. I got a very slightly faster MV with the magnum and a slightly lower SD with the regular. I think you can get solid loads with either. Conventional wisdom would say use magnum primers if you will be shooting in low temperatures, but the...

    Temperature sensitivity

Simply that when I shoot a box of ammo, or a 6x5 or whatever, there are times when the round is in the chamber longer, i.e, I stop to write something down, a big wind gust comes up, someone shooting next to me asks a questions, etc. So some rounds might be in the chamber for just a second, some...

    Temperature sensitivity

I was comparing the CenterX to the Biathlon Xtreme in each barrel. FWIW, both barrels shoot the CenterX pretty much the same in terms of precision at 50 and 100 yards, with the 1:16 barrel maybe shooting a little better. The 1:9 barrel is also 4” longer and is slower. One of the things I’m...

    Temperature sensitivity

I just started trying to figure out how the temperature is affecting what I am shooting. I first noticed it this spring when shooting in cooler temps than I had last summer, but then it warmed up before I got a chance to do anything with it. Now that the temps have cooled, I want to do some...

    Temperature sensitivity

Both. The speed is lower and the SD is higher. At 270 yards, it went from about 1.5 MOA to about 3 MOA (more vertical spread)
