Range Report The Hornady 140 amax ammo. The OLD VS THE NEW

Yeah, no kidding. My first batch was TERRIBLE. (#3131672). I thought my gun was bad and I was ready to send it back to the gunsmith until I finished those 200 rounds, and switched to my other lots, which both shot MUCH better.

Gunsmithing Converting AICS Mags..... need help!

That's too bad. I'm not going to buy from anyone who leaves that many people hanging. Saving a few bucks isn't worth the stress.

Gunsmithing Removing 0.100" plate out of AI magazine.

If you didn't completely remove the front plate, but instead, just cut (milled or EDM'ed) a semi-circular hole in the plate, all the way down into the magazine, and maybe 0.070" deep, you could make room for the nose of the round, while still keeping the follower tracking smoothly. Someone with...

New X-Ray Chassis from KRG-now shipping!

I know plenty of people are using the AW 10-rd magazine (like I am) but I'm not happy with the consistency of feeding. The magazine seems to sit a little low in the chassis, much like my AICS did. In that chassis, I bent up the feedlips on a few of my mags to get the round to sit higher, but...

    6.5 Creedmoor

Jmilera- YZ400Man was not trying to be a jerk...... He had the same misunderstanding that I had. You said your other ammo shot "1-2 moa", which to most people means "one to two moa", but I think you meant "one half moa". If your other ammo was shooting one to two, and that one lot shot 1.5...

    Rem 40X Trainer Question

Just talked with Russ at Stiller. He said they ARE working on a rimfire "trainer" which is intended for just what we're looking for. It will be a repeater action with a 700 footprint, based on their previous non-repeater 2500X action, and it sounds like they are making an effort to match...

New X-Ray Chassis from KRG-now shipping!

So now that I have my Stiller SPECTRE mounted in my KRG X-Ray, it's time to build a matching trainer. Since the Remington 700 (40x) route will certainly cost an arm and a leg and still not be a repeater, any chance that there is a Sako 22lr rifle / action that will bolt into the Sako T3 version...

Did these Stiller 22LR actions ever hit the market?

    2014 GAP GRIND/BUSHNELL PRO/AM hosted by K&M PRT (29-31 August)

I've competed in several matches with an SWFA 10x, including the Mammoth Sniper Challenge where I finished in the top quarter of the field with that glass. It's hardly ideal, but it IS doable. I have a Vortex PST on order, but for right now the SWFA is doing the job!

    2014 GAP GRIND/BUSHNELL PRO/AM hosted by K&M PRT (29-31 August)

Another competitive amateur looking for a pro partner. I have a decent track record for an amateur, but I'm certainly NOT a pro shooter. Shoot me a PM if you're a pro and you're looking for a partner.

Justin- I'm not familiar with Cratex, but I have lots of shop tools from building race cars. I assume you're just polishing and de-burring that inside bottom edge while removing as little actual material as possible? Scott Whitehead

New X-Ray Chassis from KRG-now shipping!

It really is a great chassis. I really love mine and am really impressed by the quality that came in that chassis. Unfortunately, be aware that it does not fit the newer Stiller SPECTRE actions. It's not anyone's fault - Stiller was developing this action at the same time Justin and company...

New X-Ray Chassis from KRG-now shipping!

I would not try to mix the KRG hardware with the Magpul type 2 unit. Hit a Home Depot or Lowe's - either should have an assortment of 10-32 button head screws. Or you could use two Type-1 units back to back with a nut and bolt from the KRG kit. The only reason I personally would do it this...

New X-Ray Chassis from KRG-now shipping!

Use caution when swapping between the KRG metric bolts (M5x0.8) and 10-32 that the Magpul will probably require. They are VERY VERY close in both diameter and thread pitch. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, but mix them up and they'll either be slightly loose or potentially strip...

Mine is a QD sling mount on the side of the spigot mount. If you're looking for options WITHOUT using the spigot mount, you should specifically ask for that.
