The "New" Barrett MRAD Thread!!!!!!
Mine is usa0002xx cracked no dimple. So those of you who have a dimple but also have earlier serials like mine did you get them that way or did the previous owner maybe have it already sent back due to a crack? Seems weird some earlier serials have dimples.- jmar

Hmm so if they increased the fl/lbs then they must have changed the design somehow which is promising. I wonder which mine will have when it gets back to me. Certainly aluminum especially harder stuff is prone to stress cracks and they do indeed get worse over time, makes me worry for long term...- jmar

Isn't the original 170 in lbs, the dimple one says 140. Maybe they changed the design or just acknowledged there's going to be a stress issue there if too much force is on it.- jmar

It was purchased preowned but unfired, previous owner never recalled seeing the crack so it may have happened during shipping. Who knows. Barrett is going to take a look at it I'm sending it in to them.- jmar

Mainly because the military provenance as I collect a lot of clone stuff. I know AIs are fantastic I've had 3 AWs and 4 or 5 other AIs. Depending on Barretts customer service I'll either get a new one and give it a fair shake against AI or swear off Barrett forever. Their warranty appears to...- jmar

I picked up my preowned but unfired MK22 today and couldn't be more disappointed. I've already waited about a month to pick it up and now I have to possibly deal with the hassle of shipping it back and waiting for a new one ff Barrett will even help me out.- jmar
